Ascension to the throne

He had struggled for the throne against his half-brother Kuvalayapida, at the end of which Kuvalayapida gave up the throne and became a hermit in search of peace.[2]

Reign

He was a very cruel and immoral person, who introduced the evil habits of mlechchhas to Kashmir.[2][1] He sold many men as slaves to the mlechchhas, who seem to have been the Arabs of Sindh.[3]
