Career

She was one of thirteen cricketers to have taken a five-wicket haul on their debut in women's Test cricket. She also became the first and only West Indian woman to claim fifer on test debut. On her first Test appearance, she claimed five wickets for the concession of 48 runs in the second innings against Australia.[2][3] She remains as the only West Indies woman cricketer to have claimed test fifer.[4]

She was hailed as the pioneer of women's cricket in the West Indies and was part of West Indies women team for their inaugural women's test match against Australia in 1976.[5] After her retirement from professional cricket, she pursued her career in coaching and umpiring.[5]
