Vladas Braziūnas
Vladas Braziūnas (born February 17, 1952) is a Lithuanian poet and translator.[1] He has written/translated nine books. He is a member of the Lithuanian Writers' Union[2] and the Lithuanian PEN Center and was on the board of experts of the 2007 Druskininkai Poetic Fall.[3] In 1983 he received the Zigmas Gėlė prize for the best poetry debut for a book of poems he wrote nine years prior which only received permission to be published at that time due to a controversy alluding to its "ideological and artistic immaturity."[4]
Braziūnas was featured in a Lithuanian documentary movie called ‘Closer to the Land Beyond the River' (trsl).[5]
