Albirex Niigata (S)

Murofushi signed for Albirex Niigata Singapore FC after graduating from Juntendo University,[1][2] despite wanting to go to the United States.[3] A brilliant first season with the White Swans saw him win all 4 domestic trophies while winning the Player of the Season Award.[4]

York9

On 22 January 2019, Murofushi signed with Canadian Premier League side York9 (later renamed York United).[5] He made his debut in York9's inaugural match against Forge FC on 27 April 2019.[6] Murofushi scored his first goal for York on 25 August 2019 against FC Edmonton[7]
