Wealthy, Texas
Wealthy is an unincorporated community in Leon County, Texas, in the United States.[1]
History
A post office was established in Wealthy in 1894, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1914.[2] Its original name of Poor was changed due to popular opinion.[3]
Popular Culture
The character Leonard von Lutz from "Alaina Gleen: Imaginary Vacation" (also known as "Alaina Gleen 3") is originally from Wealthy before moving to nearby Hilltop Lakes to build his mansion with the "Texas shaped and sized pool he never leaves". At the time of his birth it was still named Poor.
