West Jordan is well known for its music program. It has one of the largest choir programs of any public school in the state.[4] with a record enrollment of over 300 students. In 2009–10, the WJHS choirs took first place in San Diego, California during the Heritage Festivals-sponsored Choir Tour. The band and orchestra programs also consistently score well in competitions.[5][6]
