Wheels of Fortune is a 2020 comedy film directed by Shaun Piccinino, and written by John Ducey. The film stars Matt Jones as a mechanic who is given the chance to claim the inheritance of his late father by completing four challenges in less than a month.

Premise

To claim a big inheritance, a down-on-his-luck mechanic must win a series of competitions as outlined in his birth father’s will.

Production

Filming

Casting for Wheels of Fortune was announced on July 31, 2018, with filming taking place in Petaluma, California from August 20 to September 8, 2018.[3][4] Finishing touches for the film lasted until 2019.[5]

Release

Originally planned to be released in theaters, Wheels of Fortune was released on Netflix on November 1, 2020.[6][7]

Reception

From Netflix Life, Mae Harrington O'Neill recommended the film, stating that "If you’re feeling nostalgic for movies like The Hangover and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, you should definitely add Wheels of Fortune to your watch list."[8]
