Yeoh Gun Heong

Yeoh Gun Heong (born August 15, 1951 in Taiping, Malaysia) is an impressionist landscape painter, with majority of works themed on Taiping landscapes.

Career

Graduated from Hua Lian High School, Yeoh Gun Heong received art lesson from Penang-born artist Tan Guan-Hin[1] since 1966.

Hua Lian High School Master and Pupil Art Exhibition (1969) was his first participation in group exhibition and various followed since then.

Recognition

1982: Artwork "Bamboo Grove in Taiping Lake", Prize Winner, Malaysia National Landscape Watercolour Painting Competition organised by Dunlop Malaysia Berhad & National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.

1983: Artwork "Rain Storm is Coming", featured in Cat Air Malaysia ’83: Watercolour Society’s 1st Annual Exhibition, Australian High Commission, Kuala Lumpur [2]

1984: Artwork "The Green Shade" featured in Cat Air Malaysia ’84: Watercolour Society’s 1st Annual Exhibition, Australian High Commission, Kuala Lumpur [3]
