Yidnekachew Shimangus

Yidnekachew Shimangus (born 12 February 1978) is an Eritrean footballer who plays as a striker for Adulis Club and the Eritrea national team. With five goals in 13 appearances, Shimangus is the country's joint all-time top goalscorer and joint most capped player.[1]

Shimangus has been a regular for the Eritrean national side virtually since inception, and has featured in the 2008 African Nations Cup qualifiers, arguably their most successful campaign to date.

He played in two World Cup qualifying matches.[2]
