Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico

The Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico, commonly referred to as the Puerto Rico Young Republican Federation or PRYRF, is a political organization for members of the Republican Party of the United States between the ages of 18 and 40 In the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. [1] PRYRF is the official and chartered chapter of the Young Republicans in Puerto Rico.

Young Republican Clubs are both social and political in nature. Many of them sponsor various social events and networking events for members. In addition, Young Republican Clubs assist Republican political candidates and causes.

National Convention of Young Republicans

The Young Republican Federation of Puerto Rico was the host organization of the 2011 Young Republican Federation National Convention, held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

State Leadership

As of August 21, 2020, the State Executive Committee consists of:

  • Chairman: Josué Rivera; State Director of USDA Rural Development in Puerto Rico, former National President of the Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association.
  • Co-Chairman: José A. Cabrera, Esq. M.A.; Chairman of Proyecto Estrella, former National President of the Puerto Rico Statehood Students Association, and veteran of the United States Army.
  • National Committeeman: Héctor Albertorio; Advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico and Executive Director of the Governor's Faith-Based Office.
  • National Committeewoman: Celianny Matos
  • Deputy National Committeeman: Omar Andino, Esq.
  • Treasurer: Jaime Rivera-Emmanuelli, Esq.
  • Secretary: Iván G. González, CPA; Former member of the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Certified Public Accountant Society.
