  • Two Baldwin-built 1st Class 2-6-0 Mogul type locomotives, the first American locomotives in South Africa.[2]:40–41[3]:15
  • Thirty 5th Class 4-6-0 tender locomotives in mainline service on all three Cape Systems.[2]:39–41
