The final was contested by Wakefield Trinity and Hull F.C. at Headingley, Leeds.[2]
The final was played on Saturday 24 April 1909, where Wakefield Trinity beat Hull F.C. 17-0 at Headingley, Leeds in front of a crowd of 23,587.[3]
Trinity's 17-0 victory in the final was their first Cup in their first final.[4][5]
