Bret Bielema was hired as Arkansas's head football coach on December 4, leaving the same position with the Wisconsin Badgers. The move surprised many, including Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez.[1] It was announced Wisconsin defensive coordinator Chris Ash would take the same position at Arkansas on December 11.
