Club career
Al Saleh began his professional career with Syrian Premier League club Al-Jaish. He joined the senior squad in 2008.[2]
In 2018, Ahmad Al Saleh joined Lebanese Premier League champions Al Ahed. After one season, in 2019 he joined Kuwaiti club Al-Arabi.
International career
Al Saleh was a part of the Syrian U-17 national team in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in South Korea. He played against Argentina, Spain and Honduras in the group-stage of the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He scored one goal against Honduras in the third match of the group-stage.[3]
Al Saleh was selected to Valeriu Tiţa's 23-man final squad for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar,[4] but he didn't play in any of the three Syrian group games.
In Asian cup 2019, He wasn't at his best like all Syrian players in this tournament. Some pundits referred that to the lack of matches with his team Al-Ahed SC, although, he was key player in the team in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification and the captain. After giving the captaincy to Omar Al Somah, the press said that he didn't like the decision and he disputed with Al Somah who confirmed this matter in an interview dated by 3 Mars 2019[5] Al-Saleh had another opinion in the matter as he denied any conflict with any player in the team and blamed the former manager Stange for the early ousted as he refers that Stange didn't really know the players and he could not employ them on the field.[6]
