Albert Belz

Albert Belz (born 1973) is a New Zealand actor, theatre and screenwriter.

Albert Alexander Belz was born in Whakatāne, New Zealand.[1][2] He is Māori of Ngati Porou, Nga Puhi and Ngati Pokai descent.[3] He lived in Auckland from the age of 12, then in Hamilton and Wellington. In 2012 he moved to Australia, before returning to New Zealand several years later.[4]

Belz is a lecturer in performing arts and writing at Manukau Institute of Technology. He has held writing residencies in Le Quesnoy, France, the University of Waikato, Victoria University of Wellington, and the University of Canterbury.[10]
