Amelia Island State Park

Amelia Island State Recreation Area is a state park in Florida, United States. Its location is 7 miles (11 km) north of Little Talbot Island State Park on SR A1A, and 8 miles (13 km) south of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island along the Atlantic coastal plain. This park consists of 200 acres (0.81 km2) of beaches, salt marshes and coastal maritime forests.

Activities include fishing, birding, hiking, sunning, watching wildlife, and horseback riding, for example.

Accessible amenities are also available at the park, such as large-print format brochures, accommodation of riders' disabilities at Kelly Sea Horse Ranch concessionaire, and an accessible picnic area.[1]

Hours & Fess

Amelia Island State Park is open from 8am until sundown, daily. A fee of $2 per person is charged and the honor box should be used (make sure to have exact change, it is required).[2]

Parking

Amelia Island State Park offers two large parking areas. Parking on vegetation is prohibited.[3]
