Andrés Reggiardo
Oscar Andrés Reggiardo Sayan (born in Lima, 11 May 1941) is a Peruvian Fujimorist politician and former congressman of Italian descent. A prominent figure of Fujimorism, Reggiardo served as a member of the Democratic Constituent Congress between 1992 and 1995 in which he was elected as a member of then-President Alberto Fujimori's party Cambio 90. During his term in the Democratic Constituent Congress, he served as the Third Vice President of the Constituent Congress and in 1995, he was elected as a member of the newly unicameral Congress under the Cambio 90-New Majority and was re-elected in 2000 under the Fujimorist Peru 2000 and served until 2001 due to President Fujimori’s resignation. His son Renzo Reggiardo also served as a Congressman for Lima for two terms between 2006 and 2016. In 2013, he and his son Renzo founded the Peru Secure Homeland, the successor of Cambio 90. In 2020, he announced that he will run for Second Vice President of Peru as the running mate of Rafael Santos for the 2021 general elections under the ticket of the Peru Secure Homeland.[1]
