Azam Nazeer Tarar
Azam Nazeer Tarar is a Pakistani lawyer, and member of the Pakistan Bar Council. He hails from the Tarar family which includes many lawyers, Bureaucrats and politicians. He was the Secretary of the Lahore High Court Bar Association in the period of 2004-2005, in 1998, he graduated from the University of Lahore. In 1991, he received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Law faculty of the Punjab University and then went to the United Kingdom to continue his education. In 1994, He received his Masters of laws in criminal law from the University of Edinburgh. In 2004-2005, He was Secretary of the Lahore High Court Bar Association.[1]

Vice Chairman
Tarar elected member Pakistan Bar Council thrice and also served as Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council.[2] He introduced many effective changes in curriculum of law to up-grade LL.B. studies.[3] Being member Pakistan Bar Council he started reforms in the education of LL.B.and enrollment procedure of new lawyers and extended period of law degree of LL.B. from three years to five years after passing Intermediate F.A./ F.Sc. and admission entry test LGAT etc. He is a member of Independent Lawyers Group constituted by the Bar leader and human Rights Activist Asma Jahangir.[4][5][6]
Secretary of Bar
Tarar also was elected and served as Secretary Lahore High Court Bar Association during 2004–5. He is a seasoned lawyer having thirty years as a practicing experience at the Bar and known for his Legal Services in Criminal law, Accountability Law, Drugs Law, Exit Control list Law (ECL), Customs Law, Law of Bails, Appeals and Murder Reference in Supreme Court of Pakistan and Lahore High Court.[7]
High Profile cases
He is a Counsel and Advisor to former prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,[8] former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz,[9] Maryam Nawaz Sharif Rana Sanaullah sitting member parliament to representing them in Lahore High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan and successfully argued to get their bail.[10][11][12]
