Belgaum division
Belgaum division (officially Belagavi division) is one of the four divisions of Karnataka state of India. The division comprises the districts of Bagalkot District, Belgaum District, Bijapur district , Dharwad District, Gadag District, Haveri District and Uttara Kannada District. It covers a geographical area of 54,538 square kilometres (21,057 sq mi) and had a population of 13,499,721 at the 2011 census.[1] The population density of the division was 239 per square kilometre (620/sq mi).[2] Hubli and Belgaum are the largest cities in the division.
