Cabinet Erdoğan IV
The Fourth Erdoğan Cabinet is the 66th government of the Republic of Turkey, which was declared on 9 July 2018.[1] It is the first cabinet after Turkey's transition into presidential republic.[2] It was also the first cabinet that did not require parliamentary approval to be formed.[3]

Structural Changes
In this new system, the number of ministries were reduced to 16 from 21. Also, 6 cabinet positions (Prime minister and deputies) was reduced with Vice Presidency. A statutory decree was issued to merge several ministries, and also to abolish certain organizational and functional laws of some ministries and institutions.[4]

Cabinet Changes
On 27 March 2020, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan was replaced by the President.[5]
On 10 April 2020 Friday night, Minister of the Interior Süleyman Soylu issued a curfew due to increasing Covid19 cases. After the announcement, some people panicked and rushed into supermarkets. The late announcement was criticized by many people. On 12 April 2020, Süleyman Soylu apologized and announced his intention to resign. However this was rejected by the President.[6]
On 8 November 2020, Finance and Treasury Minister Berat Albayrak announced his resignation via his Instagram account. However, no official comments were made and the announcement was not covered by mainstream media for more than 24 hours.[7] His resignation was approved the next day by the President.[8]
