Location

A temporary platform opened at the station on February 14, 1994, as part of the emergency expansion of service on the Ventura County Line in response to the 1994 Northridge earthquake.[2] Amtrak's San Diegan trains (later renamed the Pacific Surfliner) began stopping in Camarillo on October 30, 1994.[3] Nine Pacific Surfliner trains serve the station daily and six Metrolink trains serve the station each weekday. This limited Metrolink service runs only at peak hours in the peak direction of travel (i.e. three morning departures to Los Angeles and three evening arrivals from Los Angeles).[4]

Of the 73 California stations served by Amtrak, Camarillo was the 41st-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 90 passengers daily.[1]
