Chandragupta Maurya (2011 TV series)

Chandragupta Maurya (Devanagari: चन्द्रगुप्त मौर्य) is an Indian Historical drama series being broadcast on Dangal TV, based on the life of Chandragupta Maurya, an Indian emperor of ancient India and the founder of the Mauryan Empire.[1] Chandragupta Maurya was first aired in March 2011 on Imagine TV.[2][3] Ashish Sharma played the role of adult Chandragupta Maurya.[4]

Summary

The story is about Chandragupta Maurya, who ruled over the Indian subcontinent in 300 BC. He would go on to become one of the greatest emperors in ancient India with his empire extending from Assam in the east to Afghanistan and Balochistan in the west.

The story starts with Chanakya, he goes to Dhananand with the offer of akhand baharat ( A nation india). Dhananand and his prime minister Amatya Rakshas humiliates him. From than Chanakya pledges that he will not tie the knot in his hair until he does not suppress Nanda dynasty. The on the way to Takshashila, he meets Chandragupt and finds him capable for his dream. Them he takes Chandragupt to Takshashila with him with her mother's permission. Their he meets Ambhik the prince and his friends(Shashank, Digvijya, Digamber). They always tease him. When he escapes and returns to his house, Dhanand comes and destroys his village and kills her mother in front of her eyes. From then he takes a pledge to destroy Nand empire. Chanakya gives him the training. He also take him to different warriors who are effected by the torcher of Dhananand. Then he take part in bvijay yatra and wins ot too. When he turns 13 chankya prepares a plan to kill Dhanad and orders chandragupt to execute it. Chandragupt kills Dhanand, but then Amatya calls the real Dhananand. Then it is revealed that the Dhananand has seven various copies of itself and Chandragupt killed one of them but not real Dhanad. Chandregupt gets shattered but is successful in escaping for the palace. When Chankya gets to know about this he takes a decision that he will give the best studies of fight to Chandraupt.

Then it shows that Chandragupt after eight years(Ashish Sharma). Now also Chandragupt has the same fire of destroying the Nandas. Then come the Great Alexander. The Prince Ambhik join hands with Sikander. They defeat Porous and enter India. When Chankya gets to know about this he with Chandragupt go to protect bharat mata from protecting her from the outside invaders.
