Charles Paget, 8th Marquess of Anglesey

Charles Alexander Vaughan Paget, 8th Marquess of Anglesey (born 13 November 1950)[1] is a British peer.

Early life

He was educated at Eton and Exeter College, Oxford where he received an M.A. degree, and at the University of Sussex where he obtained his D.Phil. degree. His mother is the writer Dame Shirley Paget, née Morgan.[2]

He became the Marquess of Anglesey in 2013 on the death of his father Henry Paget, 7th Marquess of Anglesey.[3][4]

Marriage and family

As Earl of Uxbridge, he married Georgeanne Elizabeth Elliott Downes in 1986; they were divorced in 2011.[4]
