The Coastal Alabama Community College Brewton has campuses in Brewton ( 31°06′10″N 87°05′11″W) and Atmore, Alabama. The Woodfin Patterson Auditorium hosts cultural events. There is also a new One-Stop Student Services Center, a recreational and experiential learning park, and a three- hole practice golf course.

The college athletics teams are nicknamed the Warhawks.

Coastal Alabama Community College Monroeville,[1] formerly Alabama Southern Community College, is a community college system that operates in southwest Alabama, United States. Alabama Southern was formed in 1991 by the merger of Patrick Henry Junior College in Monroeville, Alabama and Hobson State Technical College in Thomasville, Alabama.[2] The Thomasville campus is home to the Kathryn Tucker Windham Museum.[3] In addition to two full service campuses located in these cities, learning centers are located in Gilbertown and Jackson, Alabama.[4]

The Monroeville campus is located at 2800 South Alabama Avenue, 31.4888°N 87.3264°W / 31.4888; -87.3264. The Thomasville campus is located at 30755 Highway 43 South, 31.8891°N 87.7451°W / 31.8891; -87.7451.[4]

The College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award three different types of Associate degrees: Associate of Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), and Associate in Applied Science Degrees (AAS).[5]

Learning Resources Center on the Monroeville campus

Alabama Southern offers undergraduate majors in Business Management and Marketing, Computer and Information Sciences, Construction Trades, Engineering, Engineering Technologies, Health Professions and Clinical Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Mechanic and Repair Technologies, Personal and Culinary Services, and in Security & Protective Services.[6]

The College offers athletics programs in the following fields: Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Golf, Tennis, and Cheerleading. In 2010 longtime Head Coach Wayne Larker led the baseball team to its first-ever appearance in the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado. Anchored by the program's best ever 1-2 combo Patrick Shreve and Joe Hernandez on the mound. THE Sun Chiefs were also solid on defense. In the middle you had Keith Kizer and Danny Wass and at the plate they were led by Drew Prichard and Josh Huggins. Credit also goes to the GORP (Game Out of Reach Pitcher) Austin Trehern, who swallowed up innings t give relief to conference rotation of pitchers Josh Fein & John Wayne Layne.

John Bale is a baseball pitcher who has played for the Toronto Blue Jays among others.
