In June 2010, Coventry Health Care acquired MHP (Mercy Health Plans), an insurer with approximately 180,000 members in Missouri and northwest Arkansas.[3] Subsequently, on January 1, 2012, Coventry acquired Children's Mercy's Family Health Partners.[2]
In 2013, Coventry Health Care was acquired by Aetna for $5.7 billion.[4][5]
