History

Cycas was founded in 2008 by John Wagner and Eduard Elias.[6] In October 2017, the Thai family-owned Hua Kee Group acquired one third of the group for an undisclosed amount.[7] In 2019, Matt Luscombe became the company's first official CEO.[8]

Types of hotels

It operates in the extended-stay and mainstream hospitality sectors, including double-decker hotels,[9] property development and asset management. Cycas operates in the UK, the Netherlands,[10] Belgium,[11] France[12] and Germany.[13] Its partners include Staybridge Suites, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International, Hyatt, Accor, Quest Apartment Hotels,[14] CLS Holdings.[15], and Residence Inn.

Awards

In 2018-2019 it has won four industry awards for best employer.[16][17][18][19] It has also won awards in the serviced apartment sector.[20] [21]
