David Ferrer (racing driver)

David Ferrer (11 September 1955  7 September 2017) was a French racing driver who died after crashing a 1970 March 701 during the FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship at the Zandvoort circuit.[1] The Circuit announced in an online statement that the wounded driver was resuscitated and brought to a hospital in Amsterdam, where he later died of his injuries.[2] He crashed during his first lap in the Arie Luyendijk corner, the last corner before the start-finish straight. The event was stopped for some time, but resumed with an adjusted programme, according to circuit director Erik Weijers.[2][3]
