David Guttenfelder

David Guttenfelder (born 1969) is an American photographer from Iowa, former chief Asia photographer for the Associated Press, known for his photos of North Korea.

Life

Guttenfelder was born in Iowa.[1] He is a graduate of the University of Iowa.[2] He studied Swahili at the University of Dar es Salaam, and was a freelance photographer in East Africa.[3] He was at one time the Chief Asia Photographer for the Associated Press[4] and lived in Tokyo.[3]

He is known for his photos of North Korea.[2][4][5][6][7]
