Dharmayutham is an Indian Tamil-language courtroom soap opera that aired Monday through Friday on Vijay TV from 2 August 2012 to 11 January 2013 at 10:00PM IST for 104 episodes. Written by Anand Krishnamoorthi and Chandrachoodan Gopalakrishnan. The shooting of this serial was carried out at AVM Studios.

The show starred Abbas, Karthik Kumar, Anuja Iyer, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Ravi Raghavendra, Raja Krishnamoorthy and among others. It was director by Sukimurthy. It was director by A.L. Abhinandran and producer by Arvind Krishna.[1] It is notable for its all star cast and marks the television debut of several notable actors.[2]

Plot

The series revolves around two groups of lawyers - Sundaram and Associates, headed by Senior Counsel Sundaram, played by Raja Krishnamoorthy and his children - Rammohan (Abbas), Gayatri (Anuja Iyer), and Ashwin (Balaji Rajshekhar). He is also assisted by Nambi, played by noted stage actor Ravi Raghavendra. On the other hand, there are the Chambers run by Arjun (Karthik Kumar) along with Sharada (Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli), Mani (Praveen) and Indra (Srilekha Parthasarathy). Arjun's firm is a breakaway from Sundaram and Associates, and the series revolves around the cases handled by the lawyers, their personal tribulations, and conflicts.[3]
