Donga Ramudu is a 1988 Telugu-language action film, produced Chalasani Gopi by under the Gopi Art Pictures banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Radha and music composed by Chakravarthy.[3][4][5]

Plot

Rajeswari Devi (Pandari Bai) proprietor of an estate is surrounded by many relatives to usurp her wealth. Chitrangi Devi (Y. Vijaya) the second wife of Rajeswari Devi's younger son, a virago claims authority on the estate with her heinous Bhanu Prakash (Chalapati Rao) who suffers and treats workers as slaves. Eventually, Chitrangi Devi spoils her stepdaughter Durga (Malasri) by rearing her as an ultramodern stubborn. All the good men are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the heir Ramakrishna (Nandamuri Balakrishna), son of Rajeswari Devi's elder one. Now Ramakrishna is about to arrive from abroad. Here the malicious mingle with the neighboring estate owner Lanka Eswara Rao a dreadful gangster. They intrigue to eliminate Ramakrishna in various ways but Ramakrishna valiantly encounters them, ceases their deeds, and reforms his sister Durga. He also relieves the workers from their clutches since then all defy him. Parallelly, he falls in love with Ganga (Radha) daughter of Simhadri (P.L.Narayana) one of the laborers. Bhanoji (Balaji) son of Bhanu Prakash deceives Durga, which Lanka tries to misuse but Ramakrishna breaks his plans and knits her with Bhanoji with the help of workers. Right now, Ramakrishna decides to entrust his entire property in the name of workers. Hence, the blackguards' plot to slaughter him and place a bomb in his car while moving towards the registrar's office with the help of his cousin Kaaki / Kakani Kistaiah (Chandra Mohan) in which Ramakrishna dies. Thereafter, Lanka takes over the control, tortures Rajeswari Devi, and starts using their estate for his malicious activities. He even necks out Kaaki, when surprisingly he finds a daredevil goon Donga Ramudu who exactly resembling Ramakrishna. So he plans and replaces him instead of Ramakrishna. There onwards, he teases and teaches lessons to Lanka. Here as flabbergast, it is revealed that Donga Ramudu itself Ramakrishna one that escaped from the death. At last, he ceases the baddies and reforms Chitrangi and Bhanoji. Finally, the movie ends a happy note with the marriage of Ramakrishna & Ganga.
