Donya Tesoro

Doña Cresencia "Donya" Reyes Tesoro (born April 5, 1991)[1] is a Filipina politician who serves as the incumbent mayor of San Manuel, Tarlac, Philippines.[2][3] Tesoro was previously served as Vice Mayor from 2016 until 2019, and Councilor from 2013 until 2016. She is the daughter of Benjamin Tesoro, the former mayor of the municipality, which he currently served as Vice Mayor.

Early life

Her father, Benjamin "Bening" D. Tesoro, served as mayor of San Manuel, Tarlac and now serves as her vice mayor.[4]

She graduated high school from OB Montessori in Greenhills, San Juan. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Miriam College,[5] she immediately ran for councilor in her town. She received a Master's degree in Public Management on 2018 from the Ateneo School of Government [6] while she was the vice mayor of San Manuel.

Political career

Before she became mayor, she served as councilor and vice mayor of San Manuel.[7] She made it to the list of the "Millenial Mayors" of Mega Manila[8][9] when she was elected in the 2019 national election.[10]

She is also currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Lady Local Legislators League of the Philippines from 2016.[11]
