Electronic Battle Weapon

"Electronic Battle Weapon 1" was renamed "It Doesn't Matter" from The Chemical Brothers second album Dig Your Own Hole as track six. The vocal sample was taken from "It Comes on Anyhow" by Lothar and the Hand People.

"Electronic Battle Weapon 2" was changed to "Don't Stop the Rock" from The Chemical Brothers second album Dig Your Own Hole as song number seven. This was also released with "Electronic Battle Weapon 1".

"Electronic Battle Weapon 3" was renamed to "Under the Influence" on The Chemical Brothers' third album Surrender. This was the only "Electronic Battle Weapon" release from that album.

"Electronic Battle Weapon 4" was renamed "Freak of the Week" and featured as a B-side from the single "Music: Response".

"Electronic Battle Weapon 5" was renamed to "It Began in Afrika'" from The Chemical Brothers fourth album Come with Us as track two. The song contains a sample from the song "Drumbeat" by Jim Ingram.

"Electronic Battle Weapon 6" is a remix of the song "Hoops" on The Chemical Brothers fourth album Come with Us. This song can be found on the AmericanEP and the "Get Yourself High" and Brotherhood CDs.

This song can be found on the "Galvanize" single from the Push the Button album. The song contains a sample from the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge where an altered sample of Freddy Krueger's voice says, "You are all my children now!" It was one of the most popular new tracks of the Live 04 tour, where it was played in full. During the "We Are the Night" tour, only the vocal sample was used in isolation, usually played between "The Golden Path" and "Chemical Beats". It was also used on the "Further" tour, this time between new song "Superflash" and "Leave Home". It has been used in subsequent tours as part of an 'Acid' or 'EBW' section featuring two giant robot set pieces called 'George' and 'Mildred'. In the 2018 tour, it featured a sample of the, at the time, unreleased "Eve of Destruction".

A shorter, edited version of "Electronic Battle Weapon 8" was subsequently released on We Are the Night under the title "Saturate".

"Electronic Battle Weapon 9" was also released with "Electronic Battle Weapon 8". It is also included in the two-disc edition of the compilation album Brotherhood. The song does not have an official title. Working title is "The Wizard Rush".

A shorter version of "Electronic Battle Weapon 10" was made available for download as a single on 4 August 2008, under the title "Midnight Madness" and later released on the compilation album Brotherhood. It is also part of the soundtrack of Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 and Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

On 9 March 2015, Ed Simons uploaded on Instagram a pic showing the next "Electronic Battle Weapon".[2] It was released and featured the album track of "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted" from their Born in the Echoes album.[3]

2. "MAH (Electronic Battle Weapon version)"

Announced on 17 January 2019 as a 12", featuring the two singles "Free Yourself" and "MAH" from their No Geography album. This is the first "Electronic Battle Weapon" single to break the tradition of a) using a 1 June release date, b) using the standard "Electronic Battle Weapon" vinyl labels, and c) titling the single "Electronic Battle Weapon [X]".[5][6][7]
