The Embassy of India in Pyongyang is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of India to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It is headed by the current Indian Ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Atul Malhari Gotsurve, IFS. [2] [3]

History

The Embassy level diplomatic relations between India and North Korea were established on 10 December 1973. [4]

Events in 2020

  • 22-July-2020: The Embassy of India, Pyongyang provides anti-TB medicines to the people of North Korea.[5]
  • 16-July-2020: Indian Ambassador Atul Malhari Gotsurve handed over to the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Pak Myong Ho a floral basket and a congratulatory letter addressed to the Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of conferment of the title of Marshal upon the Supreme Leader.   • 21-June-2020: The Embassy of India, Pyongyang celebrated International Yoga Day in the embassy compound.[5]
