Feels So Right Tour

This sold-out concert tour of Japan, which saw Houston playing 14 dates in 9 cities, was a phenomenal success. Houston performed with her brand new band and included three then-new songs from her up-coming album I'm Your Baby Tonight.[1]

The Japanese fans purchased all tickets to all the shows within hours. Even with the heavy concert schedule, Houston managed to enjoy the pleasures of the Far East nation, from riding its world-famous bullet train, which traveled up to speeds of 100 miles per hour from Tokyo to Osaka, to tasting the oriental culinary delights like sushi and tempura.[1]

Whitney experienced the full pleasures of Japan. She even did something very Western when on her day off, she and her band members went bowling at the local lanes in Fukuoka. Everyone munched on pizza and had a great time. By the end of the tour, Whitney had picked up many words of Japanese and looked forward to her next voyage to the Far East.[1]

• Houston performed four new songs at that time: "Takin' A Chance," "All the Man That I Need," "Who Do You Love," plus her version of "Higher Love" (by Steve Winwood) and snippets of "A House Is Not A Home" (by Dionne Warwick) and "Say You Love Me" by (Jennifer Holliday) included in a love song medley blending three Whitney songs.[1]
• "Love Will Save the Day" was often performed after the opening song "So Emotional."
• "Takin' A Chance" was the new single in Japan, and was released in that country only.[1]
• Before singing "All the Man That I Need," Whitney announce, "this song is going to be on my new album, which should be released very soon, we don't know when but we'll see." Arista Records released her new album, I'm Your Baby Tonight ten months later.[1] There was one costume change.[1]
