Foltin

Foltin (Macedonian: Фолтин) is a Macedonian band,[1][2] active since 1995. Foltin's music is hard to define, sounds unpredictable and challenging: surreal, passionate and witty, dynamic and full of surprises, blending many genres like Indie, Alternative, World music, Funk, Electro acoustic, Jazz and other influences. Their music is fresh, warm, infinitely imaginative, and has the power to make people feel embraced and uplifted. [source?] Foltin's live performances are theatrical and in a cabaret style, characterized with a frantic dance atmosphere. It is not a strange thing to imagine all that when you consider the fact that they have worked on a theater and film music many times, including the score for the 92nd Academy Awards two categories nominee / three Sundance 2019 awards winner Honeyland and the internationally acclaimed with 9 wins and 26 nominations Secret Ingredient. The lyrics of the band's first three albums are a mixture of phonetic imitations of languages including Spanish, French, Romanian, and Portuguese. The band has appeared at music and theater festivals in Macedonia, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Belgium, England, Germany, Russia, Lebanon, Turkey, the Netherlands, and France.
