GFest – gayWise LGBT Arts Festival

GFEST - Gaywise FESTival is the premier LGBT annual cross-arts festival in London—a platform for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer artists, organisations and venues that promote LGBT and queer arts.

Organised by arts charity Wise Thoughts, GFEST features queer artists and talent across the arts, including visual arts, theatre, dance and performance, short films, debates, workshops and parties.

In 2010, over 100 artists took part in GFEST 10, with over 8,000 attendees. The launches of GFEST 08, 09 and 10 [1] took place at the Palace of Westminster; LGBT 08 was the first LGBT arts initiative launched at the House of Commons.[2]

GFEST 2011 [3] was held 7–20 Nov 2011, the fifth year for the festival.

The festival's artistic director is Niranjan Kamatkar.[4]

13th year of GFEST - Gaywise FESTival events in 2020 were presented online for the first time due to response to COVID-19 pandemic - between 9th and 21st November 2020 by daily publishing over a dozen new filmed stories of and recordings of live webinars with BAME, LGBTQI+ people across the UK.
