Gattu Battu is an Indian animated television series produced by Toonz Animation which aired the first season on Nickelodeon India and Nickelodeon Sonic. The show premiered on 1 May 2017.[1][2] This Show is distributed by Viacom 18.Nickelodeon Sonic aired second season few episodes and moved the show to Nickelodeon which aired rest episodes.

The show showcases the story of two friends Gattu and Battu who run a detective and security agency.[3][4]

In the town of Vishrampur, two friends Gattu and Battu run a security and detective agency in season 2 episode 1 they meet two girls named Min and Sha. Gattu is the fighter, Min is the planner, Sha is the emotional and Battu is the sixth sensed. Together they beat the enemy.

Sher Singh and Mahee, the Don and Dona of Vishrampur envies Gattu Battu as they fail all Sher Singh's invasions. He makes new plans- such as defeating Gattu Min Sha Battu with the help of gadgets, or hiring some special people. Gattu Battu sometimes get trapped in Sher Singh's plans.

They teach a lesson to Sher Singh and Mahee once they are fooled. They make plans with the help of their friends, Ting Tong and Dr. Bhatawadekar. Ting Tong is Gattu Min Sha Battu's sidekick who does all the household work. He knows a little martial arts. His one weakness is- he loses his memory and becomes that thing (often an animal) in mind. Dr. Bhatawadekar is a scientist. He creates gadgets for Gattu Battu. Battu often mistakes his traps for daily-life things. So with the help of them, Gattu Battu defeat the villains.

Characters

  • Battu: the brain of the gang and has a sixth sense which helps him sense danger who is 21 years old, which is usually true. He is the best detective and remembers everything he had seen earlier. He likes caffuccino. Battu's younger sister is Sha and elder sister is Min and present day elder brother or friend is Gattu. When Battu takes a risk Sha, Min Gattu evens joins with him and take the risk. He has a purple satellite bracelet and purple iPhone.
  • Sha: the emotional girl and yoga and dancing and fashion and singing expert of the gang and everyone gets attracted to her emotions who is 20 years old. She always fools Sher Singh and Inspector Manmaani with her emotions. She likes ice tea. Sha's elder brothers are Gattu and Battu and present day elder sister or friend is Min. When Sha takes a risk Min, Battu and Gattu even joins with her and take the risk. She has a pink satellite bracelet and a pink iPhone. She is scared of thundering and runs to Battu and hugs him. She does a yoga class for Min, Battu, Gattu and children who like to do yoga.
  • Min: the planner and fashion and dancing and singing expert of the gang who is 22 years old, she has a good sense of planning, so that they can work faster than the enemies. She gets furious when someone hits Sha. She likes apples. Min's present day younger sister or friend is Sha and younger brother is Battu and elder brother is Gattu. When Min takes a risk Sha, Battu and Gattu joins with her and take the risk. She has a yellow satellite bracelet and a yellow iPhone.
  • Gattu: the fighter of the gang. He's courageous and righteous who is 23 years old. He eats a carrot before bashing up miscreants. He is furious if someone hits his friend Battu. He and Battu have a strong sense of righteousness, and refuse to support criminals or wrongdoers. Gattu's younger sisters are Min and Sha and his present day younger brother or friend is Battu. When Gattu takes a risk Min, Sha and Battu joins with him and takes the risk. He has an orange satellite bracelet and an orange iPhone.
  • Ting Tong: Ting Tong is Gattu and Battu's goofy sidekick. He knows some martial arts. If he receives a blow on his head, he loses his memory temporarily and the object, person or animal he first looks at, becomes his character. He then creates a menace for all the other characters. If he is hit on his head again, his memory is restored. He talks in Nepali accent. He has a black satellite bracelet.
  • Dr. Bhatawadekar: A scientist who creates gadgets for Gattu and Battu. He sometimes cannot hear clearly. Sometimes, Battu uses Bhatawadekar's traps as daily- life things. He has shortcut from his lab by Gattu's and Battu's fridge which has a secret lift. Only Gattu Min Sha Battu and Ting Tong know it. he has made satellite bracelet for Gattu and his gang. He even has made extenders for Min and Sha's heel boots. He has a white satellite bracelet. He says, " Suno ladakiyon aur ladakon upagrah kangan ek rahasy hai."
  • Sher Singh: the main antagonist and don of Vishrampur. He is tall in height who is 45 years old. He has three sidekicks Danya, Banya, Bima and all three often being fooled by Gattu in fights. His catchphrase is "Destruction's second name is Sher Singh! Hindi (तबही का दशहरा नाम Sher Singh hain)"Sher Singh is so light in weight that a normal fan can blow him kilometers away. He is afraid of Gattu Battu. Sometimes he orders gadgets from scientists. His sister is Mahee.
  • Mahee: the sister of Sher Singh who is 44 years old. She is worse than Sher Singh and she is kind to his sidekicks. She always kidnaps Min and Sha.
  • Danya: Sher Singh's left-hand man. His name means 'left'. He says after Sher Singh's catchphrase, "Toh pehla naam kis ka he, boss?" ("So who is Destruction's first name, boss?"). His voice and accent is like Dilip Kumar's.
  • Banya: Sher Singh's right-hand man. His name means 'right'. He often mistakes Sher Singh's idioms as true words and protests, "Katti Mia Sia Batti".
  • Bima: a sidekick of Sher Singh and also his gang member. His name means 'mincemeat'. Bima wears an orange T-shirt and sky blue pants. He has hairs on his backside of head not on upper area of his head. He is the most stout and wrestler-like goon of Sher Singh's gang. His talking accent is like that of Shakti Kapoor. His popular dialogue is, "Mera naam he Bima, aur me banatahu logo ka kima!" ("My name is mincemeat, and I make people minced meat!". He captures Sha and traps her then he pricks her with a thorn which makes Sha faint and grab Battu's attention.
  • Inspector Manmaani: the police inspector of Vishrampur's police station. He is slightly short and somewhat stout. He loves drinking tea. He always suspects Gattu and Battu to be involved in any crime, as he is jealous of them. However, when proven that Gattu and Battu are innocent, he arrests the real miscreants. His assistant is Hawaldar Chammach Singh. He talks in a stereotypical Bihari accent and he sounds like Shatrughan Sinha. Sometimes, when he shouts, he spits tea powder. When Manmaani arrests Gattu and Battu, Sha says some emotional poems about brotherhood and then Manmaani does not arrest Gattu and Battu.
  • Chammach Singh: He is the police hawaldar (constable) and Inspector Manmaani's assistant. He always serves tea to Manmaani.
  • Mantriji (Chief Minister): the chief minister of Vishrampur and the other neighbouring cities. He gives rewards to Gattu Battu while they catch a thief. In some episodes, he is plump whereas in some episodes, he is slim with moustache.
  • Other Sidekicks: Sher Singh's four other sidesicks and bodyguards of Sher Singh. They fight against Gattu and Battu and obey Sher Singh's orders.
