Barrère has a career high ATP singles ranking of no. 80 achieved on 7 October 2019. He also has a career-high ATP doubles ranking of no. 182 achieved on 3 February 2020. Barrère has won three ATP Challenger Tour singles titles and six ITF Futures singles titles as well as three Challenger doubles titles and six ITF Futures doubles titles in his career.
Barrère made his Grand Slam main-draw debut at the 2016 French Open, where he received a wildcard, but lost to David Goffin in the first round. He was awarded a wildcard to the 2018 French Open,[1] where he lost in the first round after leading 2 sets to 0, then again in 2019 when he reached the second round and lost in 4 sets to 10th seed Khachanov after winning the third set 6–0. In 2019, he has succeeded to qualify for the second round of 3 Grand Slams (French Open, Wimbledon and US Open) and achieved in the same year the main draws of few ATP 250 tournaments.
