Career

Performer Of The Year and the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor Popular.[5]

From 2011 to 2012, he played Mohan Gala in NDTV Imagine's Dharampatni opposite Aasiya Kazi. About his role he said: “Mohan is a commoner. He doesn't relate to many things in the world and only vaguely understands rituals and socialising.”[6] In 2012, he portrayed Raghavendra Pratap Singh in Life OK's Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava? opposite Sriti Jha and Karanvir Bohra.[7] From 2014 to 2015, he played Sahir Azeem Chaudhary in Sony TV's Humsafars opposite Shivya Pathania.[8] When asked about his character, he explained: “Sahir is a very complex one. He has a mathematical approach towards life, and his vision is divided between black and white; he doesn't understand grey. Since he is a pilot, he works on things with full focus and is shattered when his perfect world comes crumbling down.”[12] Bepannaah made a successful debut, entering the list of top five shows in its very first week.[13] Times of India wrote “Harshad Chopda is a complete natural and plays his part effortlessly.”[14] India Today stated “Harshad nails his character of Aditya with some black humour and hard-hitting one-liners.”[15] Chopda won several awards for his portrayal including one Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actor Popular, two Asian Viewers Television Awards for Male Actor Of The Year and one Lions Gold Award for Best Actor Popular.[16][17] In 2020, he starred in the music video for Stebin Ben's Juda Kar Diya opposite Erica Fernandes.[18]
