Holice (Pardubice District)
Holice, also Holice v Čechách (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦolɪtsɛ]; German: Holitz, Holitz in Böhmen) is a town in Pardubice District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 6,600 inhabitants.

History
Holice was first mentioned in 1336. It obtained the town status in the 15th century.

Holice serves as a centre of microregion with villages: Býšť, Dobříkov, Dolní Roveň, Dolní Ředice, Horní Jelení, Horní Ředice, Chvojenec, Jaroslav, Ostřetín, Poběžovice u Holic, Radhošť, Trusnov, Týnišťko, Uhersko, Veliny and Vysoké Chvojno.
Notable events
From 2018, an International Motocross Race – Michael Špaček Memorial, is held at the beginning of September at the motocross track in Poběžovice.[2][3]
