Hynes Athletic Center

The Hynes Athletics Center is a 2,611-seat multi-purpose arena in New Rochelle, New York. It was built in 1974 and is home to the Iona College Gaels basketball and volleyball teams.[2]

In 2005, it was renamed to the Hynes Center after being formerly known as the John A. Mulcahy Campus Events Center.

Between Summer to Winter 2019 Hynes Athletics Center received a total of $6.5 million to expand and modernize the area. The athletic center is to have their grand opening the same day of homecoming on October 19, 2019. The president along with the pipe band will be at the ribbon cutting ceremony along with the major donor, Edward F. Arrigoni.[3][4][5][6]
