Janowo, Nidzica County
Janowo [jaˈnɔvɔ] is a former town, now a village in Nidzica County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Janowo.[1] It lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) east of Nidzica and 53 km (33 mi) south of the regional capital Olsztyn.

From 1918 to 1939 Janowo was a border village of Poland. From 1939 to 1945 it was under the Nazi occupation, and was part of the New Berlin military training area
