Jordi Vanlerberghe

Jordi Vanlerberghe (born 27 June 1996) is a Belgian footballer who currently plays for KV Mechelen mostly as a defensive midfielder or centre back in the Belgian Pro League.[2] Vanlerberghe started his professional career as an attacker.

Club career

Vanlerberghe made his Belgian Pro League debut on 27 October 2012 in the derby against Lierse. He replaced Nicklas Pedersen as an 88th-minute substitute.[3] He scored his first professional goal on 25 January 2014 against Mons.[4]

On 10 August 2019 he returned to KV Mechelen on a one-year loan with an option to purchase.[5]

Although at the end of season 2019-2020 the loan from Club Brugge was terminated and Vanlerberghe returned to Bruges, June 29th 2020 the news came that he would rejoin his former team KV Mechelen again on permanent basis. [6]
