Jorge Eduardo Sánchez Ramos (born 10 December 1997) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Liga MX club América and the Mexico national team.

Club career

Santos Laguna

Coming through the Santos Laguna youth academy, he made his debut on 18 September 2016 against Club Universidad Nacional in a 3–1 victory, playing all 90 minutes.[2]

América

In June 2018, he was signed by América.[3]

International career

Mexico U-21

Sánchez was included in the final roster that participated at the 2018 Toulon Tournament.[4] He would appear in four matches as he went on to be included in the Best XI of the tournament as Mexico finished runner-up.[5]

Sánchez was included in the final roster that participated in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.[6] He appeared in two group stage matches as Mexico finished last in their group with one point.

Mexico national team

He made his debut for the Mexico national football team on 26 March 2019 in a friendly against Paraguay, as a starter.[7][8] In May, Sánchez was included in Gerardo Martino's preliminary list for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.[9] On 9 June, in a friendly warm-up match against Ecuador, he picked up an injury on his right leg causing him to miss the tournament.[10]
