Josee, the Tiger and the Fish

Josee, the Tiger and the Fish (ジョゼと虎と魚たち, Joze to Tora to Sakana-tachi) is a 1984 Japanese short story by author Seiko Tanabe. It was first published in the June 1984 issue of Monthly Kadokawa. It was later included alongside various stories in the short story collection Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, which was published on 27 March 1985 by Kadokawa Shoten.[1]

An anime film adaptation by Bones has been announced. The film is directed by Kotaro Tamura, with Sayaka Kuwamura handling the film's scripts, and Haruko Iizuka designing the characters. Evan Call composed the film's music.[2] The film was initially scheduled for released in mid-2020, but was delayed to December 25, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3][4] The film opened in 9th place at the Japanese box office in its initial week of release.[5] Anime Limited has acquired the film for release in the United Kingdom and Ireland.[6]
