History
The station went on the air as KFLD on April 1, 1951. In 1972, it changed call letters to KFLP and changed to KFBA on July 9, 1980. On January 28, 1985, the station changed its call sign to KKAP; on June 6, 1992, to KAWA; and on March 22, 1996, to the current KFLP.[3]
The station is the only All Farm station in Texas broadcasting agribusiness news, markets, and weather 24/7. It is also the flagship station for the All Ag Radio Network. Syndicated programs developed by the All Ag Network include Agriculture Today, the Agribusiness Report, Growing Cotton, American Cattle News, and the Ag News Update.
Today the station originates programming from studios in Lubbock, TX (in the Enclave) and from the studios in Floydada, TX.
