Kalaiya

Kalaiya is a sub-metropolitan city and headquarter of Bara District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. Also, it lies in State no. 2 of Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal Census it had a population of 123,659 residing in 28645 individual households.

People often visit this place because it is the gateway to the great Gadhimai temple. And Kalaiya is famous for Sekuwa(chicken or goat meat which is cooked using the charcoal grill) and Bhaja (chatpate). And it is the spot for some other historic importance like Simraungadh. The city is a really small and beautiful place filled with people of different racial background including the people from Bihar, India. The whole city is a small family. The other place to visit would be Siddheswar Temple and Ram Mandir. The average temperature during summer days is 30°C and in winter about 10-20°C. [1]
