Kanchrapara - Nagarukhra - Bongaon Intercity Roadway
Kanchrapara-Nagarukhra-Bongaon Intercity Roadway or Northern Kolkata Metropolitan Bypass Road[1] is an important border connecting and bypass road used by the Indian Army, Border Security Force and other transport related vehicles for special purposes as a shortcut roadline to get rid from huge congested cities, towns, villages and traffic loads in both National Highways or between many cantonments and army camps. This road connects Nadia district and North 24 Parganas district as well as many important cities, towns, villages, expressways and highways.

The entire road is 33 km long, running from Kanchrapara to Bongaon, via Kalyani, Gayespur and Haringhata.
Intersection
This road is connected to two national highways and one expressway. In Kanchrapara it intersects with Kalyani Expressway. At Bara Jagulia it crosses over the National Highway 12 (India). In Nagarukhra it intersects with three different roads, Habra Road, Nimtala Road and Ashokenagar Kalyangarh Road. In Gaighata it intersects with National Highway 112 (India).
