High school career
Thibodeaux played high school football at Oaks Christian School. He recorded 152 total tackles, 54 sacks, and eight forced fumbles during his high school career. He was named the USA Today High School Defensive Player of the Year after recording 18 sacks and 54 total tackles in his senior season.[1]
College career
Thibodeaux was one of the top recruits in the country and the top recruit in California. He committed to play college football for the Oregon Ducks.
In December 2019, Thibodeaux was named the Pac-12's Defensive Freshman of the Year.[2] In December 2020, he was named MVP of the 2020 Pac-12 Football Championship Game.[3]
