King Golf

King Golf (stylized as KING GOLF) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Sasaki. It was serialized by Shogakukan in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 2008 to October 2011, before being transferred to Shōnen Sunday S in January 2012. It has been collected into 37 tankōbon volumes as of December 2020. It follows the story of high school student Sōsuke Yōke, as he begins his career in golf and over time obtains many wins and defeats various opponents.

Story

A young talented delinquent loves a challenge. He has fought near everyone to reign supreme in his region. One day he realizes that people may fear him but they don't admire him. On that day a rival who plays golf looks down on our young delinquent. What ensues is a story of inspirational drive, courage and competitiveness. Will Sōsuke Yōke "the predator" overcome all and become the King of Golf?

Publication

King Golf is written and illustrated by Ken Sasaki. It was first published in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 20, 2008 to October 12, 2011.[1][2][3] It was transferred to Shōnen Sunday S on January 25, 2012.[4][5] Shogakukan has compiled its individual chapters into individual tankōbon volumes. The first volume was published on January 16, 2009.[6] As of December 18, 2020, thirty-seven volumes have been published.[7]
